I've been a freelance copy editor since 2004. I've worked extensively for UNICEF, Scholastic, and Disney Publishing. I've also done projects for Tuttle, Lark, Random House, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and many others. I enjoy working with individual writers on projects ranging from books to dissertations.
My editorial specialty is turning tangled writing full of jargon into simple, clear, easy-to-grasp sentences. I have an excellent grasp of spelling, grammar, and punctuation; I know the rules, and I also know when to break them.
I'm a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the Freelancers Union.
Please contact me to discuss rates for individual projects.
